Record Store Day 2016 Re-Cap

RSD2016flyerWow, we had a GREAT Record Store Day this year!  More and more people are coming to our store and we had a lot of what people were looking to get.  We’re thankful to everyone who came by to support and party with us!   We got lots of good feedback from customers who said they were happy to have a local record store to shop at again.  We’re glad that we can share our love of music and vinyl with other old school record fans as well as the younger collectors who are newly discovering the beauty of the format.

We still have a number of Record Store Day releases in stock and might have the title you’re looking to get so stop by and browse our inventory.  We also have some titles left from last year’s Record Store Day and Black Friday that we have reduced.

Here are some pictures from the day.  Special thanks to Charlie Gracie, Patricia King and Orlando Hadad from Minas for their special appearance on Record Store Day and Mayor Campuzano and Neumann University’s 98.5!

Art Plus Music Equals A Great Weekend

This is a really busy weekend for us.  In addition to the start of our First Friday Flicks, Independent Film Screening Series in association with FirstGlance Films tonight, we will be out at the Lansdowne Arts Festival at the Twentieth Century Club, Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and we’ll be at the iRadioPhilly tent on the field near the corner of Eagle and Darby roads in the center of Havertown at the Haverford Music Festival from 7 – 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.  We’ll be giving out lots of prizes and a few surprises, so stop by and say hello.

Art and music makes for a perfect weekend, don’t you think?

New in the Neighborhood

Welcome to Vinyl Revival!

I am so happy to open Vinyl Revival in Lansdowne!  Over the past few months, I’ve received such a warm welcome from the other merchants, people from the community and neighborhood organizations, so thank you!

I am opening Vinyl Revival in Lansdowne because I love the tight-knit neighborhood feel and the friendly faces.  I love that there is a growing arts community, a great farmer’s market,  restaurants, a fantastic music store, a growing business and retail district, and a fabulous historical theater soon to be restored to its former glory.

Right now, we are in the process of clearing out the space to make way for new paint, cabinetry, theater equipment, and everything else needed to make the store a cool, welcoming and fun place to visit and shop.

Here’s one of our before pictures. Check back often to see our progress and what we’ll look like “after.”
